plastisol ink
Plastisol inks are the most commonly used inks when it comes to printing on garments. Plastisols are a PVC (polyvinyl chloride) thermoplastic based ink system that when cured at proper heat temperatures cause the resin and plasticizer molecules to cross-link and solidify creating a durable bond with the fabric.

Water Based
Water-based inks consist of dye pigments with a water solvent. This ink system is a great alternative for a desired vintage "soft hand" feel. Instead of the ink sitting on top of the shirt such as with plastisol, the ink dyes the fabric making the print part of the shirt. Water-based inks are typically used on light garments.
